Get the Most from Your Workout! Add in the Burpee Bodyweight Exercises!
You’ve probably watched a lot of those advertisements for the latest exercise programs. In fact, many of these plans and programs have existed for a very long time; they have just been around with different packaging. Someday, people will realize that if something sounds too good to be true, then it probably is. You do not need all those expensive pieces of exercise equipment or machines to transform your physique. There are many proponents of these types of equipment that will insist that they are in fact necessary; this is a proven sale tactic to get a consumer to spend even more money.
The main issue is that people are simply not always prepared to exert the amount of effort it takes to develop and see the body they would like to have. It’s much easier to just take a few pills, try out a new diet or buy the latest bit of equipment. After attempting the newest diet craze or trying out their new machine, these people still don’t see the results they want and cannot understand why. If you are ready to do the work, this article features all the information you need to get trim and fit - all without the use of weight machines, elliptical equipment or treadmills.
The burpee is one of the most effective bodyweight exercises for total conditioning of your body.
If you’ve never had the pleasure of experiencing a burpee, then get ready. This is the way to reach your best physical condition, and you’ll get there much more quickly then if you try to use one of those fad programs. The best part about a burpee is that there is no equipment required and it is completely free. However, bodyweight exercises are rugged and very tough. You’ve probably seen the results of this workout and not even realized it - those prisoners you see on TV that have such great looking bodies use this same idea. No one’s suggesting that prison is a great way to get fit, but you can pick up some important tips on using bodyweight training to reach your peak shape. Burpees are not an exercise fad, and they definitely are not new, but they do work. The exercise is simple in theory but difficult to execute. If you really want to get in shape, there is no running from this exercise. It’s time to step outside your comfort zone, put away the “miracle machines” and pick up a stop watch instead. If you’re ready to step away from the comfortable machines, then it’s time to grab a stop watch and get to it.
Executing this exercise is relatively simplistic.
Begin by standing up.
Then you squat down and place your hands in front of you on the floor.
Next you kick your feet out behind you so you are in the push-up position.
One you are in this position you do a single push-up and then jump up as high as you can as you get back to your feet into the standing position. Perform one push up, bring your feet forward with knees still bent, and leap up into the air as high and with as much energy as possible. Lather, Rinse and Repeat…
Performing this exercise for speed gets best results. For the first set, perform 20 reps. Do 19 reps the second set. As you count down and work your way down to the final, single set, you will begin to appreciate the effectiveness of burpees and bodyweight exercises as a whole. You are going to sweat and you could even lose your lunch, but you are going to be stronger for it!
